Acappella CLASSIC slated to appear in South Africa

Former full-time Acappella vocalists are coming together again to present two concerts in South Africa as “Acappella Classic.”  I’ll be singing with George Pendergrass, Gary Moyers, Steve Maxwell, Kevin Schaffer and Rodney Britt in Johannesburg and Capetown.  The scheduled concerts are set for October 31st in Johannesburg at 7 PM (Info at www.computicket.com;) November 7th in Capetown at 7 PM (Info at www.computicket.com)

Acappella Classic rehearsed and sang for a private gathering in July, only to discover that the vocal magic had not faded with time. One unique medley that resulted from this session was “Teaching the Truth in Love” flowing directly into “For the Lost.”  Steve Maxwell’s stellar performance on “Victory In Jesus” was captured from that live performance and is now included as exclusive content on Acappella’s new on-line radio at www.Acappella.org.

If you’d like to attend a rare appearance of Acappella Classic, make plans to be in Nashville, Tennessee for ACAFEST / Summer Celebration on Lipscomb’s campus for a mission fund-raising concert on July 2nd.

  1. Keith,

Hello, my name is Michael Ross. My parents are Ron and Joyce Ross. You attended Williamstown Bible College with my dad. You may remember me as a 2nd or 3rd grader.

I am trying to market my website and primarily the ministry services listed on http://www.michaelwross.net. I would love to talk with you about helping me do this. I know you are coming to the Kanawha City Church of Christ in Charleston, WV in November this year. My family and I live in Cross Lanes and will be at all or at least part of the weekend.

If you have opportunity, I would love to spend some time with you — maybe lunch or coffee.

You can also visit http://www.crosslaneschurch.net, click on “Come and See” to watch a couple videos of my speaking style. I have others as well available to you. The quality is not great, but with limited budget it has to be compressed to 100 MB.

Thanks for looking and I hope to hear from you.

    Michael

    • Great to hear from you Michael.
I remember you and your brothers well. You guys would sing the song “A cappella” when you were quite young. I loved hearing the bass sung an octave (or two?) above, and you had a great blend (that sweet “family” sound).
We enjoyed the WBC reunion back in June and did a lot of catching up.
Sounds like you have a lot happening. Congratulations on your ministry! I’m not sure about our schedule yet in West Virginia, and I always make sure I reserve plenty of energy for the presentations (or else, I’ll talk voice out). It will be good to see you and your family.

  2. Hi Keith,

I attended the Acapella classic concert in Cape Town and it was one of the best times of my life. It was a dream come true seeing you live.I have been a fan of your music for 16 years. May God continue to use you for his glory and May Jesus continue to be seen, be known and be heard in all your songs.

  3. Keith!!!!!! PLEASE RECORD A NEW ALBUM with Acappella classic!!! I love this idea of an Acappella Super-Group! Of course, we all know you are missing Wayburn in this gathering but I’m sure if it were possible, he would be there!!!

Maybe just a studio album or live concert CD like the LIVE IN PARIS album some years ago.

Oh, and can someone PLEASE digitize and release (as MP3′s) your older releases: A VERY SPECIAL TIME, TILL HE COMES, MADE IN HIS IMAGE, BORN AGAIN and HEAVENS GONNA SHINE!!!!! I’ll buy them all!!!

Thanks, brother and keep up the great work!!!
