Acappella delights all ages in Brooks Ave. concert

Acappella

This dynamic quintet was at the top of their game as they commanded the stage at the Brooks Avenue church of Christ in Raleigh, North Carolina.  As I shared on facebook, I’ve been in singing groups when we stood completely still through an entire presentation.  On the other end of the spectrum, you can find Acappella’s stage presence as an “off the charts” presentation of high energy and rare passion.

This was a treat as my first opportunity to hear Wes McKinzie filling the bass position with Acappella.  Of course, Wes’ extensive, former tenure with Acappella Ministries has made his transition into this role relatively seamless and very comfortable.  I was pleased by the response of all ages, who were delighted by the concert.  Check out my photos of the action here.

Of course, I always enjoy making guest appearances with the boys, on those rare occasions when we get to see them in concert.

  1. Hi Keith,

I’d like, if possible, that you talk a little about Bill Spencer who sang with you and Acappella in the album Travelin’ Shoes.

    God Bless you
Hello frm Rio de Janeiro Brazil!!

    • Bill Spencer added a very nice baritone to cement the harmonies, as well as a pleasing solo voice. He had the ability to make me laugh at the drop of a hat. Unfortunately, he was not with the group very long, and I haven’t seen him in a long time.

      • Ok Keith, that’s a pitty you don’t have contact with him. The album Travelin’ Shoes is in my TOP 10. It would be very nice to know that he is still singing in another place.

        By the way…
Where will You and Acappella return to Brazil and visit my city, Rio de Janeiro?? I was in the concert in June 2000!!

        God Bless you
