Moving Praise & Harmony experience in Sherman, Texas
Praise & Harmony Workshops — By Keith on September 28, 2009 at 1:55 pm
Although there are no mountains near Sherman, Texas, we definitely enjoyed a mountain top worship experience in Sherman this past weekend. We fellowshipped with the ministers and elders during the weekend. Saturday evening flew by as evidence of the congregation’s thorough preparation all came together in heart-warming praise. I taught a class on worship leading to a group of 20 interested members. The Sunday morning assembly was a special treat, as minister Joe Furr, shared an inspiring message. (Joe is one of the leaders of the Singing School in Abilene.) We added more songs than normal (for a typical Sunday) and filled the room with harmony and hymns. We made some new friends and were blessed in many ways by this visit. I’m very pleased with the progress that this vibrant congregation is making on these fronts. Keep the fire burning!

Keith, I was happy and blessed to be able to be in your class Sunday morning at WHCC in Sherman. Your sensitivity and your talent to draw out discussions was definitely God driven. I was a bit under the weather this week and unfortunately could not let loose of my voice, but could with my heart at worship. I missed the Saturday seminar and was disappointed, but needed the rest. Feeling better but voice is worse this week. I sometime get sick at weather changes both fall and spring. Keep on teaching and praising.
Michael,
I appreciate your generous words. I believe the leader discussion class works really well; through discussing these important topics we can attempt to follow through within the worship assembly. The probing questions are designed to help leaders to think more deeply about the concepts of preparing worship for God’s people, and how to offer God our absolute best. Sorry to hear about your voice problems, as I’ve had my share. Hope you keep joining my on-going discussions I’ll be hosting at KeithLancaster.com Blessings!
Hey you two!
I am so happy that you got to go to Sherman! That is where I grew up and my dad and his wife attended there. She still does–her name is Mary Blocker. And, what a blessing that Thana Sue is!
I’m sure you and Sharon were a huge blessing to them, as well as they to you.
We love you guys!!
Martha
Martha,
We had a wonderful. “mountain top” experience with the church in Sherman. The church is special and people are precious.
Tell that husband of yours hello for me and that we’ll need to visit the Mexican restaurant again.
Give our love to everyone.
