Sensational Singing at South Side in Rogers, Arkansas
Praise & Harmony Workshops Sunday, October 4th, 2009
Photo by Tom & Darlene Williams The South Side auditorium became alive with praise as worshipers gathered in sections (bass, alto, soprano and tenor) to raise their voices in song. Thorough preparation was evident, as the singers knew every note of the assigned collection of songs from the Awesome God Praise & Harmony CD. The sermon topic was designated to focus on praise & harmony. In addition to the Saturday evening workshop, we enjoyed a special class with the worship leaders. The worship was electrifying, as the preparation and focus came to fruition with the entire church pouring out their hearts to God. I’m very encouraged by the family of God’s people at South Side in Rogers!

As a memeber of the Southside Church of Christ for many years, I have to say I left this morning after the Praise & Harmony worship service more uplifted than I have been in a long time. The pews were packed and the singing was wonderful. I did not want the service to end. Thank you for coming to Southside!
Patsy – I threw in some extra songs, so the service was somewhat longer than originally planned. I don’t think anyone minded, except maybe the ones who were assigned to watch the little ones. The packed house only contributed to the dynamic sound of praise!
The Sunday morning worship service was very inspiring. Thanks Keith for all your energy. Watching you in the front with your energy and a big smile on your face made me energized. I love what you are doing for Churches every where. Keep spreading God’s love and reminding us how to praise on the outside.

Keith, we were so blessed to have you & Sharon with us in Rogers again – it’s been 25 years! Lsst evening was outstanding, but only a prelude to this morning’s worship. God bless you in your ministry; what you are doing for churches is greatly needed & greatly appreciated. This weekend has already produced several wonderful stories. I need to share this one with you:
A young lady from a neighboring town spent her teen years at Southside during when I was youth minister, way back when you & Brett & AVB came in 1984. On Friday, she was flipping through her CD’s & found one she bought at that concert. As she was listening to it, she grew curious about your whereabouts, so she Googled your name & found your website. She was surprised & overjoyed when she saw you would be in Rogers this weekend. She rearranged her plans to come Saturday evening with her daughter; they made the hour-long drive back again this morning. Her spirit was refreshed, as well as the spirits of all of us. Thank you!
God bless you, my friend. Lord willing, we’ll get together again – and sooner than 25 years this time! I love you.
Jackie, It was great being with you guys again. Thanks for your wonderful hospitality in having us into your home to fellowship. I remember singing at South Side so very long ago. I loved your story of the young lady who made the trip this weekend, only hearing about the workshop at the last minute. Keep up the great work my brother, and God bless your new church plant!

What can I say?! Having been to a workshop over a year ago, I have looked forward to this weekend since then. Your love and passion for what you do is such an encouragement to those of us who love to sing and are looking to improve upon our leadership potential.
I can’t recall a time when so many people have come away from a weekend of worship on a mountaintop such as this!
Thank you and Sharon both for your wonderful attitudes and lives of service. I pray that God blesses your ministry in ways beyond your imagination! Hope to meet again soon.

God truly is an Awesome God! The workshop was unbelievable and the Worship service this morning was beyond words. The Lord blessed us with your ability to focus our minds and hearts on HIM. Keith, I am one of the two secretaries here at Southside and there aren’t words “BIG” enough to describe what the experience was like for me (and many others!) at Southside yesterday morning. I have never experienced a worship service like that in my entire life! To say it was uplifting, encouraging, energizing, humbling and a mountain top experience all at the same time…well, mere words just aren’t enough. Thank you so much for coming to Southside and for blessing us the way you did. I hope we never lose the momentum you began for us yesterday.
Vicki, We really appreciate your comment! It means so much to witness Christians becoming truly passionate about praising Him. I’m glad you couldn’t describe the experience, because worship encounters can often be indescribable. It requires a LOT of effort to maintain momentum as it will require so much planning, training teaching, cooperation and participation. I look forward to hearing great things from South Side!

What an amazing gift the Lord has blessed you with! I am so thankful that you use that gift to his glory by helping churches all over the world know the importance of praise and harmony in our worship. I was so uplifted and moved by the singing Sunday morning. Our family loves to sing – we could have stayed all night Saturday! I pray God continues to bless you and Sharon in your ministry and the lives you touch. It is truly up to us to secure our heritage of praising God through acappella singing. Thank you again – I hope our paths will cross again someday!

Sherri, We really enjoyed getting to fellowship with your sweet family. The weekend was truly amazing! I try to remind everyone that hard work is required to move toward continued progress. One of the best byproducts of our workshops is the awareness and realization of the full potential each congregation possesses. Let’s train our worship leaders, teach our children to sing in parts and train the entire congregation in learning to sing and worship with all their hearts! It was obvious that you guys did your homework. Thanks for inspiring us! (And the meal at Copeland’s was fabulous.) Blessings to you, your family and the South Side church.
