bookcoverOur oldest daughter, Melissa, has written a book called “Why Are We Sick?” dealing with her battle with many health issues while growing up and how they were cured naturally by implementing healthy habits.  If you are struggling with any illness, this is a great, informative book with a strong scriptural foundation. You can purchase her book at www.melissalancaster.com.

You go, Melissa! i, too, have been learning about this for years, and i am so excited You are going to share what the LORD Most High has shown You. i told my wife yesterday that i’m not sure i was taught how to correctly Live in any area of my Life in this culture, and i am so grateful that my Holy Father is reorienting me now…

    Blessings to You, Melissa!!!

The experience and knowledge that Melissa has put in to this book not only changed my opinions and views of healthy living, but it has changed my life! I read this book in one sitting, and found myself cleaning out my kitchen cabinets and fridge/freezer and planning new meals and grocery lists within 30 minutes after reading it. This being said, I have stuck to the things that she says in the book and have made them a part of my every day life. It might seem like a lot of change. But, in reality, IT’S WORTH IT!

I have lost 71 pounds in the past 10 months by following the dietary guidelines that her book presents. But, even better! Changing my diet and eating habits, I no longer suffer from Diabetes Type II issues, Krohns Disease, or even what was the vicious cycle of sinus infections, strep throat, ear infections, bronchitis, pneumonia that always had me taking some anti-something drug. Whether antihistamine, antibiotic, anti-inflammatory, you name it! I haven’t taken a prescription or over-the-counter medication in over 9 months! No more insulin pump! No more issues with IBS & Krohn’s! These problems have been remedied because of the diet that is laid out in this book healing my body to where it should’ve been for many, many years.

Melissa’s book has literally saved my life, physically & emotionally! I have been blessed by God with this book, and so can you! God Is Good! God is Great!

This book really opened my eyes to things I’d never heard of or took the time to look into. I’m very grateful Melissa wrote this book because I’ve made a lot of life adjustments and have felt better since

  • Keith says:

It’s very encouraging to hear the positive feedback about the impact of Melissa’s book. Brooks, you really have a powerful testimony, and I would be doubtful if I didn’t witness your transformation with my own eyes!

  • Tim Cantrell says:

I’ll admit that I’m not an avid reader, however, I used to be. Very rarely (if ever) does a book lead me from page to page. I am proud to say that once I opened this book I couldn’t put it down. I finished the entire book in less than 3 hours. I realize that may not be a long time for most readers, but it is for me. The content blew me away. I admit that some of the stuff I had heard before, but like most humans just wrote it off. NOT ANYMORE. I realize the lack of nutrients my body is getting and refuse to let the world control my thinking process. I just want to say thank you to Melissa for giving me a new breath. YOU ROCK!!!

  • Stephanie Harding says:

I work in the health care industry, and I can attest that in not one of my classes during my training did I get as much knowledge regarding nutrition as I did from this book. Sadly, todays health care practitioners do not practice preventative or curative medicine, but rather hand out drugs like candy and mask current symptoms while more often than not causing new ones. I appreciate Melissa’s dedication to spreading the truth about how God designed our bodies to function and I know that I have personally been healed of chronic health problems such as IBS and chronic ear infections. Thank you Melissa for such a wonderful book!

  • I praise God that He gave me the opportunity to share this information and I’m thankful it has helped some of you. It is HIS plan and HIS healing and nothing of my own knowledge or wisdom. When i was younger and so sickly and prayed and prayed for God to heal me, and it never happened, and i didnt understand why? Now i see it was the lack of the miraculous spontaneous healing that led me to find the miraculous self healing principals laid out for us in God’s word. It’s so simple that its complex to some. Dr. Loraine Day says (and I agree) “If God were to lay out a natural healing process that is solely His plan it would have to be available to all generations thru all time.” The simplicity of the message is live as God intended. God created us to drink water, eat fresh food from the earth, eat by the sweat of our brow (exercise), rest (sabbath rest and good sleep), trust in Him and not worry. The list goes on but it’s more simple than we make it. We don’t need another drug to fix us. We need to live as God created us to live. Psalm 103 says He is the God that heals ALL our diseases. In His Love. ~Melissa

  • Mandy Wilson says:

This book will open your eyes to a whole new standard of health care! We have been so conditioned to believe that we need drugs to heal or maintain our bodies. Melissa explains the importance of eating foods in their most natural state, and using the resources that God has given us. God created a world in which His people would have everything they need to not only survive, but live abundantly. It is not God’s will that we get sick. It is not His will that we get cancer, heart disease, or any other illness. He not only provides us with ways to prevent these diseases, but He also gives us means to reverse the damaging effects. He is The Great Physician!

  • Zina says:

AMEN SISTER!!! Thanks for sharing your passion, the world and the church need it badly! I already live this lifestyle and I am spreading the word also. It is AWESOME to find like minded christians – sometimes you feel really different living this way, and yet it is the only way to live. May God continue to bless your efforts. Because of the empty tomb!
