Does your place of worship encourage participation?

Some auditoriums are ornate.  Others are plain. Countless believers have worshipped in brush arbors and in tents; outside and in lavish cathedrals.  What kind of impact should a worship location have upon the quality of the worship experience?  How do different locations affect you?
