Gary Miller – Talented, Kind, Loving, Gentle Servant
Featured, Gary Miller Sunday, March 13th, 2011
Want to bless the Miller family? Here’s how you can bless the Millers who have blessed so many others for Him.
We mourn the passing of our dear friend and Jesus follower, Gary Miller. He has served as an integral talent in the Acappella Ministries family for many years. Gary has written many of the songs that were recorded by Acappella, AVB, Acappella Children, the Vocal Union and the Praise & Harmony Series – as well as recording every one of the Praise & Harmony albums. As the leader of The Vocal Union, he shaped the group into a stellar blend of smooth harmonies and powerful messages. His sweet and gentle Christ-like spirit will be remembered by everyone who met him. Please pray for the Miller family during this time of loss.

Together with the Acappella Company, Mr. Miller’s one of a kind music compositions and song lyrics were a great blessing all around the world.I can bear witness to that fact as an African from Kenya
God bless his soul as he rests in peace, my sincere heartfelt condolences go out to his whole entire family and friends
[...] Here’s a note about Gary from Keith Lancaster’s blog: [...]
I have known Gary for so long, it is difficult to imagine life here without him. What a special person to minister with! Everyone who met him was touched by his kind spirit.
My first experience of Gary Miller was in hearing him in some Acappella tracks he did back in the mid-late 90s. I just so enjoyed the song he did “Let there be Love.” It is such a special and spiritual song, a true release of hope for a world that desperately needs Jesus and His Love!
When Acappella did the re-make of the song for “The Collection” album, I could not help but use that as the track to open a Christian radio program I held every week at a radio station in Kentucky. It said so much of what I hoped for with the Gospel message being shared.
I had hoped one day I might get to meet Gary. After all, I loved to sing bass as well and I just adored his low, smooth and versatile voice. So when I had the chance to be the MC at one of their concerts and meet Gary and Vocal Union back stage, needless to say I was tremendously thrilled!
So my first time meeting Gary was almost a decade after he inspired me with his voice and a great song he wrote. That was in the Fall of 2009. He was so gracious and affirming, a gentleman who spoke with a pitch higher than his ultra low bass. What a privilege to meet him! When I met him again a year later (just 5 months ago) I was amazed he remembered me. It was a real joy for me.
Ambassadors for Christ come in so many different forms and fashions. I consider myself and my ministry blessed to have met a special ambassador of the Gospel named Gary Miller. Sing well, friend, with the saints in Glory!
Sincerely,
Dan Paddack

Thanks for sharing, Dan.
As the service is about to begin Kent and I are so wishing we could be there. We have been privileged and blessed to have part of the VU families since our son, Nick, was a member for a few years. He was one of the kindest, most thoughtful, gentle, Christ-like men I have ever met. It was so exciting to have expereinced Carnegie Hall and the White House with VU. But mostly it was a joy to talk to Gary about his love for his family and his Christ like love for everyone. Heaven is a better place now for adding Gary Miller. We pray God’s blessings and healing for all that knew him, especially the family and the men of VU.
Kent and Connie Gaultney
So very kind of you to share those thoughts.
