Acappella Ministries and You: 12 Ways To ConnectPraise & Harmony / Worship, The Acappella Co., Worship Leader Institute Monday, September 9th, 2013
Love Acappella Ministries as much as we do? We need your help! Below are twelve ways you can partner with us to spread the Gospel through harmony.
For over thirty years, we have been privileged to see people from all over the world – individuals like you – shape this ministry through their support. If God has put it on your heart, please consider helping us by doing the following:
We believe this ministry is an infrastructure through which God positions “musicianaries” where they may be of service to the Kingdom. We enjoy the music, but make no mistake: our purpose is to be “witnesses to the ends of the earth” (Acts 1:8). Please pray that we never lose sight of our mission, that we remain attentive to the Lord’s direction, and that God will continue to provide for this work that He started in us.
2. Share talent with us.
Acappella is conducting an international talent search. We’re looking for vocal ability, but more importantly, a servant heart for ministry. The group is currently based out of Edmond, Oklahoma, centralized around the campus of Oklahoma Christian University. A scholarship is available for those pursuing higher education, so we want to especially encourage college-age singers to audition. If someone you know is a first tenor and/or lead vocalist who should audition for this, have them contact Ministry@Acappella.com Who knows? You may find the next singer in Acappella!
3. Urge singers in your area to organize a quartet for the next Praise & Harmony recording.
Every several months, The Acappella Company auditions vocalists from all over the world to participate in creating Praise & Harmony worship albums. Volunteers are selected as quartets (soprano, alto, tenor and bass) who commit to learn the music through regular rehearsals before meeting at the recording location to enjoy the action-packed worship. There are too many great singers who never utilize their talents, and we would love for them to be part of our professional recording. For more information, contact Tammy@Acappella.com
4. Sponsor your worship leader or rally support for them to train at the annual Worship Leader Institute.
Every year, we work with a handful of gifted leaders to sharpen their abilities and train them in core competencies necessary for effective worship leading. Average song leaders become amazing worship leaders, equipped by world-class instructors from around the world. This year we saw amazing growth as our number doubled. Please help us maintain the momentum by drawing in and supporting new candidates for WLI. God deserves our best in worship, and the Kingdom will grow when we give it to Him! Contact Bill@Acappella.com for information.
5. Work with your church leadership to book a Praise and Harmony Workshop.
Even congregations with good singing can use a lift in quality and passion from time to time. Inform your church leaders about the Praise & Harmony Workshop. Invite everyone you know, and help us stir up maximum participation in every worship service. Contact Bill@Acappella.com to book a Workshop in your community. 6. Bring Acappella Classic in for that special fund raising concert.
Acappella Classic concerts are rare, but we still love to get some of the fan-favorite alumni back together for special events and benefit concerts. It’s such a thrill to see over thirty years of singers and songs represented in one event. Earlier this year, over $38,000 was raised (after expenses) for the Children’s Home of Lubbock through a Classic reunion concert. The next Classic concert is scheduled for March 7, 2014 in Longview, Texas. To book Acappella Classic, contact firstname.lastname@example.org
7. Attend ACAFEST 2014 in Nashville, Tennessee.
Mark your calendar to join us on the campus of Lipscomb University for ACAFEST, June 29 – July 1, featuring a host of concerts and classes, congregational singing and a Praise & Harmony new song clinic. This event is part of Lipscomb’s Summer Celebration which presents a number of activities and options for the entire family – great for a summer vacation! 8. Spread the word about the brand new Mighty God CD from the P&H Series.
The acclaimed congregational worship series is back and better than ever. While the voices are sweet, our hope is that listeners will take advantage of the training disc included with every release in the series. With this second CD, introducing new songs to a congregation becomes a breeze. Learning four-part harmony is as easy as putting in one earphone (Left: Lower range male/female voices only, Right: higher range male/female voices only). We hope congregations will utilize these resources to expand their repertoire of worship arrangements.

11. Support the advancement of P&H workshops through a financial gift.
Our call to ministry is for the whole Christian brotherhood, not simply the churches that can afford to host workshops. We visit many churches every year that cannot afford to host a workshop, and we want to continue to do so. If you value the work of Praise and Harmony, please help us advance it to congregations that might not otherwise have the resources to experience an event. Donate here
12. Book an Acappella concert for your outreach, youth or ministry event.
