Born on April 1st, our first grandchild arrived and is ready for the spoiling to begin. Hunter Keith Brantley was born in Birmingham, Alabama and weighed 5 lbs 6 oz. He has already stolen our hearts. Since our daughter, Kimberly is a professional photographer, Hunter doesn’t stand a chance of staying out of the spotlight. I wonder if he will be a golden throat like his mom and dad? I’m sure he’ll be able to make a joyful noise!

I have so many fond memories of family singing as I was growing up. It seems that music was always in my home; whether my Dad was playing his guitar, or my friends were at our house, putting together our latest band. I can’t remember any family reunions where we didn’t sing hymns together. I guess it’s only natural to see that love of singing and harmony passed along to our children.

Here’s a photo taken of Allison, Melissa, Kimberly and Anthony, singing during our concert in Mito, Japan. James says, “If anyone is happy, let him sing . . .”

Photo by Stepanie Harding – - I’ve told my daughter, Kimberly, that she needs to record a solo album. Her incredible voice and interpretation skills are a blessing to everyone who hears her in concert. As I previously shared about singing “How Deep The Father’s Love For Us,” in Brazil, I was again deeply moved by her version of this powerful song as it was presented during the Lancaster Family concert in Mito, Japan. Can you tell I’m a proud Papa?

I was blessed to be immersed in music from a very early age and music as been a central part of our family activites.
