What Is Today Again?

Okay, this sounds like a fabricated story, but it’s indeed true. Sharon and I decided we’d go find some pizza for lunch, here in Fort Collins, Colorado. As we were arriving at the pizza place, the road was blocked by hundreds of college students, standing in line. I immediately said, “If they are all going for pizza, we’ll need to go somewhere else.” As we tried to negotiate our car through the crowd, I rolled down the window to ask where everyone is going. “To the head shop,” was the reply.

Sharon said, “Why would all of them be going to the hair salon at the same time?” Then it finally dawned on us. Someone later informed us that today is the official “pot smoking day.”

It’s sad but true – - Someone once said that college is a fountain of knowledge and the students are there to drink. Apparently not; By the numbers, it looks like they’re there to smoke.

On one of our Praise & Harmony trips to the Washington D.C. area, we dined at an Ethiopian restaurant for the very first time. Fascinating entertainment added to the ambiance of this restaurant. How many of you have tried Ethiopian food?

I posted this photo, taken from my iPhone. I was thinking how I mistakenly get wrapped up in the necessity for professional equipment, whether recording or in photography. But this little iPhone camera proves that you can capture some great scenes and edit to a pleasing conclusion.

We enjoy dual citizenship in Oklahoma and Tennessee – two wonderful places with wonderful people. We are blessed to serve in these special places.
