Changing subjects – Remember the “second breakfast” mentioned in Lord of the Rings? With our jetlag, I wake up extremely early and am immediately ready for breakfast. Later in the morning, I enjoy my “second breakfast.” It’s the second lunches and dinners that really start to add up.

We are in West Virginia this weekend. While at breakfast, we opened the Charleston paper to see the advertisement on the front inside cover for the Praise & Harmony workshop. How encouraging! One of our sponsors works for the Governor, so I wouldn’t be surprised if we get to meet him.

The response to the Capetown Acappella Classic Video (posted here on the blog, bottom right column) is very heart warming. If you like the video, pass it along to friends. I’ll post some more videos later on. Have a great weekend.

My internet connections have been spotty, so you may hear from me in spurts. Just know that God’s hand has been upon this trip and many people have been blessed by the music ministry of this group, and through the Praise & Harmony workshops. Thank you for your prayers!

Former full-time Acappella vocalists are coming together again to present two concerts in South Africa as “Acappella Classic.” I’ll be singing with George Pendergrass, Gary Moyers, Steve Maxwell, Kevin Schaffer and Rodney Britt in Johannesburg and Capetown. The scheduled concerts are set for October 31st in Johannesburg at 7 PM (Info at www.computicket.com;) November 7th in Capetown at 7 PM (Info at www.computicket.com)

Acappella Classic rehearsed and sang for a private gathering in July, only to discover that the vocal magic had not faded with time. One unique medley that resulted from this session was “Teaching the Truth in Love” flowing directly into “For the Lost.” Steve Maxwell’s stellar performance on “Victory In Jesus” was captured from that live performance and is now included as exclusive content on Acappella’s new on-line radio at www.Acappella.org.

If you’d like to attend a rare appearance of Acappella Classic, make plans to be in Nashville, Tennessee for ACAFEST / Summer Celebration on Lipscomb’s campus for a mission fund-raising concert on July 2nd.
